บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยแนวคิดใหม่ในการสร้างสรรค์สัตว์หิมพานต์ตามวรรณคดีไตรภูมิ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบริบทโดยรวมของสัตว์ผสมข้ามสายพันธุ์ในอารยธรรมต่าง ๆ และสัตว์หิมพานต์ตามวรรคดีไตรภูมิ รวมถึงงานศิลปกรรมที่มีแรงบันดาลใจจากสัตว์ผสมข้ามสายพันธุ์ที่เกิดขึ้นมาตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยได้ทำการสัมภาษณ์ศิลปินไทย ศิลปินเอเชีย ศิลปินพื้นบ้านและนักวิชาการศิลปะ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ สังเคราะห์ แนวคิดจากผู้ที่อยู่ในวงการศิลปะ รวมถึงทำการวิเคราะห์ผลงานจิตรกรรมของศิลปิน ที่มีแรงบันดาลใจจากสัตว์หิมพานต์ เพื่อนำองค์ความรู้เหล่านั้นมาสังเคราะห์เป็นแนวคิดใหม่เพื่อ ทำการทดลองสร้างผลงานสัตว์หิมพานต์ จำนวน 2 ชุด คือชุด ก. สัตว์ผสมกับสัตว์และชุด ข. สัตว์ผสมกับคน เมื่อได้ผลของการทดลองสร้างสรรค์ ผลสรุปเป็นแนวคิดใหม่ที่ได้จากกระบวนการวิจัยแล้ว ผู้วิจัยจะนำผลการศึกษามาทำการสร้างสรรค์เป็นชุดผลงานสัตว์หิมพานต์ตามแนวคิดใหม่ และนำเสนอเผยแพร่ในรูปแบบของงานนิทรรศการ
จากผลการวิจัยพบว่าสัตว์ผสมข้ามสายพันธุ์ในอดีตเกิดจากความเชื่อเรื่องศาสนาและการนับถือเทพเจ้าตามเทพนิยายปกรณัม ทั้งที่ปรากฏขึ้นในดินแดนเมโสโปเตเมีย กรีก-โรมัน และอียิปต์ โดยเฉพาะความเชื่อในเรื่องลี้ลับ ปรากฏสัตว์ผสมกับสัตว์ให้มีความเหนือจริง แปลกพิสดาร เมื่อมีการเผยแผ่ของศาสนาไปสู่ในดินแดนต่าง ๆ ศิลปะยังคงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่ถูกเผยแพร่ไปด้วยกัน มีความหมายในการเชื่อมต่อทางประวัติศาสตร์ และสัตว์หิมพานต์เป็นหลักฐานสำคัญที่ปรากฏให้เห็น โดยเฉพาะในแถบเอเชียที่มีความเชื่อและความศรัทธาในพุทธศาสนาอันมีที่มาจากวรรณคดีไตรภูมิ ผลการวิจัยได้สรุปเป็นแนวคิดในการสร้างสรรค์สามแนวคิดโดยแต่ละแนวคิดจะมีจุดเด่นต่างกันดังนี้ แนวคิดที่ 1 เน้นการนำปรัชญาคติเป็นตัวเกิดรูป แนวคิดที่ 2 เน้นการสื่อความหมายของสัตว์หิมพานต์ และแนวคิดที่ 3 เน้นความมีลักษณะเด่นเฉพาะตัวอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของผู้สร้างสรรค์
สรุปจากผลการทดลองพบว่า แนวคิดที่สองเป็นแนวคิดที่ได้รับการยอมรับในการนำไปสร้างสรรค์ผลงานมากที่สุด เพื่อนำไปใช้สร้างงานสัตว์หิมพานต์ที่จะสื่อความรู้สึกในมิติใหม่ที่เกิดจากปรัชญาคติ ความเชื่อเป็นตัวนำการสื่อความหมายจากนามธรรม รูปธรรมมีการแทนค่าทั้งดีและไม่ดี เป็นตัวอธิบายในสัตว์หิมพานต์ที่สร้างขึ้นโดยมีความเป็นไปได้ทางกายวิภาคเป็นตัวควบคุมให้เกิดความสมบูรณ์ลงตัวและเป็นอุดมคติแบบไทย
Abstract
The objective of this research, The New Idea for Creating Himmavanta’s Creatures in Tribhumi, is to study the entire context of crossbreed creatures in different civilizations and Himmavanta’s creatures in Tribhumi including inspiring art works from crossbreed creatures existing from the past till now. The interview are made from Thai Artists, Asian Artists, Local Artists and Freelance Academicians to analyze the thoughts of those who are in Arts fields, as well as, analyze the painting works of the artists who got inspiration from Himmavanta’s creatures in order to apply those knowledge for creating 2 sets of Himmavanta’s creatures: animals breed with animals and animals breed with human beings. After having the conclusion from the study, the researcher brought the study results to create new ideas about Himmavanta’s creatures and would exhibit to the public.
The research showed that in the past, crossbreed creatures were from the believes in religion and God in the Myth of which had happened in Mesopotamia, Roman Greek and Egypt civilization. Particularly, they believed in mystery such as incarnation and everything having spirits or endemic gods with human bodies mixed with creatures, creatures and creatures to make them look supernatural or bizarre. When there were religious propagation into these lands, arts were still mainly connected to history and Himmavanta’s creatures were the evidence, especially in Asia whose beliefs and faith in Buddhism were from Tribhumi. The change of society had made change to the perception of Himmavanta’s creatures at present. As a consequence, the result of the research has analyzed and conclude in three concepts of which each concept will have different distinctive as follows: unit 1: emphasizing on using principle philosophy to determine the Himmavanta’s creatures, unit 2: emphasizing on the meaning of the Himmavanta’s creatures, unit 3: emphasizing on unique feature which is creator’s identity to create.
Conclusions from the result of an experiment: Unit 2 is the most accepted for creating Himmavanta’s creatures which were able to convey their feelings in the new dimension from the Motto of Philosophy with special characters that are created according to new ideas based on the original concept which will be extended from the ancient Himmavanta’s creatures possible in terms of anatomy controlling the completeness and the harmony according to Thai ideals.
